Rude Alex wastes radio air time

I'm disappointed in the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by Alex during the interview and in his concluding remarks. The subject of earthquakes and their possible effects on lives and property is a serious matter. Alex tried to make light of it by trying to create some fictional effect such as a tsunami. Had he left it at that, it might have been okay, but he didn't. After being told potentially tens of thousands of lives could be lost in the Salt Lake valley from a major earthquake, Alex attempted to inject sarcastic humor with statements like how many rodents and insects would be killed and why don't you care about the rodents and insects. Alex's behavior was inappropriate and led to the interviewee hanging up. The person being interviewed is a professional in his field whose opinion is being sought on a serious topic. Alex was way out of line in how he wasted the guest's time and treated the subject. A personal apology to the interviewee is in order.

The segment was a joke. The subject CAN be serious, but that was not the intent of the segment. Kick back a bit and breathe. :)
Joke understood

I know the story was intended as a joke. My concern is for how the earthquake expert was treated. He obviously didn't appreciate the attempt at humor (as evidenced by his terminating the interview in an abrupt manner).
